Do you think all people who say their teen is not having sex are naive?

I am asking this because I have 3 teenagers and a preteen and there is always so much talk in questions about sex ed or birth control about how kids who are very young are having sex and so many people seem to believe that the numbers are huge. I'm not saying that kids that age are not having sex but it just seems like people think it's happening SO much that if you have teens and say they are not having sex people almost either don't believe you or think that you are naive and they are probably having sex and you just don't know it. Is the number of young kids having sex really that high especially for 10 yr old children?

One time in a question I asked I said that none of my kids have had sex yet and I got tons of answers from people saying "yes they have you just don't know." or "that's what you think".

Is it so hard to believe that some kids are not having sex? My kids are 15, 15, 13 and 10 (all boys) none of them have even had a girlfriend yet or been on a date with a girl yet and so yea I think I know they haven't had sex yet (I know my kids). Anyway I just wondered why people find it so hard to believe there are teens who are not having sex. I know when I say my 15 yr old boys are not people probably wonder (because they don't know them and they are older) but it seems lately even if I were to say my 10 yr old is not, people would think "sure he probably is" LOL and trust me he's NOT.
Aimee, they have no been on a date I think I would know LOL and the truth is, I DO know what they are doing because that is the type of parent I am.
Des, that may be true in some cases but not all. It's frustrating for me to know and I mean KNOW my kids have not had sex and then have people question it like I just don't know. I guess this is the answer to my question though, people just think I'm naive. I guess unless people really know you and your kids they are left with no option but to assume you are naive.

No, I think some teens really don't have sex. I didn't.
